NRA CERTIFIED CLASS
DURATION: 8 hours
(Class Size Limited)
Course topics include: Firearm Safety (Mandatory for State of Oregon), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Ammunition Knowledge and Defensive Ammunition Selection, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Mindset/Responding to an Attack and the Aftermath, Oregon Gun Laws.
Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.
Students will receive class notes, take a Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

Quality Pistol appropriate for concealed carry: Semi-auto (preferred) or Double Action revolver
Quality Strong side hip holster that covers trigger/trigger guard (IWB or OWB). No Serpa or Serpa-style holsters allowed.
Belt sturdy enough to hold firearm and magazines/magazine pouches
300 rounds of quality factory ammunition (No reloads of any kind!)
Minimum 3 magazines or 5 speed loaders
Appropriate pouches for spare magazines/speed loaders
Clothing appropriate for concealed carry including a cover garment
Hearing protection (Electronic strongly recommended)
Packed lunch, snacks, drinks
